Enticement
Enticement is also called enticement of a child or child enticement. It is the crime of luring a child into a car, building or other secluded place for the purpose of committing some sexual act against the child. Some examples of different types of child enticement include:
- Soliciting a child for prostitution
- Online (Internet) sexual activity with a child
- Sodomy
- Lewd or lascivious acts with a child
- Unlawful sexual intercourse
Enticement of a child can result in both federal and state charges. Most of the child enticement charges are felonies in California and come with strict prison sentences as well as lifetime sex registration.
