At Large
“At Large” can be defined in two distinct ways. In the first sense, At Large refers to the status of an individual, usually a suspect in a criminal matter, who is still free and has not been apprehended (e.g., the rapist is still At Large). The other meaning relates more to politics. An At-Large position means that the person represents an entire state/district/ body, etc. instead of only representing one portion of it (e.g., a Delegate At-Large).
