Companion Case

A companion case is one of a pair or a number of cases that raise related issues, and because of that both cases are dealt with at the same time by the court. The U.S. Supreme Court frequently handles companion cases. When the court rules on the issues in one case, the decision applies to the similar issue in the other case(s).
