Fugitive
A fugitive is a person who has evaded arrest, service of process, prosecution, custody, or testifying usually by hiding in the state or by taking refuge in another state or country. Any person who commits a crime in one jurisdiction and then departs to another jurisdiction to avoid prosecution or punishment is a fugitive from justice and may be extradited to the jurisdiction where the crime was committed.
If you or someone you know is a fugitive, consult with an experienced criminal defense attorney to learn about your rights, defenses, and legal options.
