Criminal Conversation
Criminal Conversation is having intercourse with someone else's spouse, i.e., adultery. Criminal Conversation is a tort that has been abolished in most states. The term is interesting, since Criminal Conversation is neither a crime nor a discussion. However, it makes sense if one considers that conversation and intercourse are synonyms and that criminal can also mean wrongful or offensive. Criminal conversation cases were only filed for damages, usually by a cuckolded husband against his wife's paramour.
