Los Angeles County Jail for Women: Location

11705 South Alameda Street, Lynwood, California 92062. Paid parking is available at the jail.

Visiting Hours

You may visit an inmate at the Century Regional Detention Facility, ("CRDF"), commonly known as the Lynwood Jail or the Los Angeles County Jail for Women, which is operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Saturday through Tuesday from 7:30 am to 12:20 pm and 1:20 pm to 3:30 pm. Although the Lynwood Jail primarily functions as an all women's jail, arrestees from the Century Station and Compton may be temporarily housed there. Because the Lynwood Jail's visiting hours and roster of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change without notice, you should always call the Jail before visiting. You can contact the Lynwood Jail at any time by calling 323-568-4500.

Attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit during the following hours:

  • Saturday – Tuesday 7:30am – 12:20 pm & 1:20pm – 3:30pm
  • Wednesday – Friday 9:15 am – 1:00 pm & 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Visiting Procedures

Inmates are allowed to have one 30 minute visit on days that visits are allowed. Up to two (2) visitors may visit an inmate during a visit. Although children count as visitors, they may not be counted if they are five years old or under. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Children who are over 14 must have acceptable forms of ID.

Visitors' Restrictions

Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Jail. Officers at the Jail may deny visitation rights to anyone for any number of reasons.

Telephone Access & Mail

During booking, the person being held in the Lynwood Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make unlimited free telephone calls. Once housed, inmates may make unlimited collect calls during program hours.

You may send mail addressed to an inmate to:
