Visiting Hours
Located on historic Route 66, the Arcadia Police Department Jail ("Jail") temporarily houses male and female arrestees for the City of Arcadia, the County of Los Angeles and detainees for ICE - U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement. The Jail also houses participants in its Pay-to-Stay Program for longer periods of time. You may visit an inmate at the Arcadia Police Department Jail, which is operated by the City of Arcadia, Monday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on weekends and holidays from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Arcadia Police Department Jail's visiting hours and roster of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change without notice. Always call the Jail before visiting. You can reach an officer at the Arcadia Police Department Jail at any time by calling 626-574-5190.
Attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit at any time for as long as they like.
Visiting Procedures
Typically, inmates at the Arcadia Police Department Jail are allowed one 15 minute visit per day. However, upon request, the amount of time allowed for a visitation may be extended. The Jail permits 3 to 5 visitors at one given time. Although children may visit inmates at the Jail, like adults, they are counted as visitors.
Visitor Restrictions
Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Arcadia Police Department Jail. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- California Identification Card
- Driver's License (any state)
- U.S. Military Identification
- Passport/Visa
- Mexican Consulate Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- Valid School Identification Card or Birth Certificate (if visitor is a minor).
While the Jail has no official policy barring persons on probation and/or on parole from visiting an inmate at the Jail, persons on probation and parole may want to contact the Watch Commander to confirm that the desired visitation is permitted.
Telephone Access & Mail
During booking, the person being held in the Arcadia Police Department Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make three free telephone calls. Arrestees/Inmates may not receive calls or phoned-in messages, but once housed, inmates may make unlimited collect calls. Arrestee/inmate in the Arcadia Police Department Jail will be housed for no more than 48 hours, excluding holidays and weekends. Thus, you should avoid sending mail to an inmate at the Arcadia Police Department Jail.
