During booking, the person being held in the El Monte Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make 15 minutes of unlimited free telephone calls. After which, all subsequent calls must be collect calls. Arrestees/Inmates may not receive calls or phoned-in messages. Since arrestees will be housed at the El Monte Jail for no more than 48 hours, you should not attempt to send mail to an inmate at the El Monte Jail.
