Visiting Hours
An arrestee/inmate at the Covina Jail must be incarcerated for at least 24 hours before he will be permitted to have visitors. You may visit an inmate at the Covina Jail, which is operated by the City of Covina, Monday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. Because the Covina Jail's visiting hours and roster of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change without notice, you should always call the Jail before visiting. Visiting Procedures
Inmates are permitted only one visit per day for 15 minutes. Up to two persons may visit at one given time regardless of age. Only a child of an inmate may visit an inmate. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. Attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit at any time for as long as they like.
Visitors' Restrictions
Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Jail.
Telephone Access & Mail
During booking, the person being held in the Covina Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make up to three (3) free local telephone calls. Once housed, inmates may make unlimited collect calls.
Since arrestees will be housed at the Covina Jail for a limited amount of time, you should not attempt to send mail to an inmate at the Covina Jail.
Picking up Personal Property
Any time after arrest, an arrestee/inmate may authorize the release of his personal property to anyone unless that property has been entered into evidence. If property has been entered as evidence, it will not be available for release until after the criminal case is concluded.
