Visiting Hours

Because the Monterey Park Jail holds arrestees for no more than 24 hours, members of the general public are not allowed to visit arrestees/inmates during their incarceration at the Monterey Park Jail—also known as the Jail Bureau.

Unlike the general public, attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit an inmate at the Monterey Park Jail. They may want to call ahead to let the jailer know that they are coming though no notice is required.

During booking, the person being held in the Monterey Park Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make three (3) free local telephone calls. Once housed, inmates may make unlimited collect calls. Arrestees/Inmates may not receive calls or phoned-in messages.
