Visiting Hours

All visitations at the Long Beach Jail are conducted through video conferencing. Visiting hours at the Long Beach Jail ("the Jail") are determined by the nature of the charge(s) against the inmate that you may wish to visit. If the inmate has been charged with a misdemeanor, visiting hours are daily, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. If the inmate has been charged with a felony, visiting hours are daily, 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. If the inmate has been sentenced, visiting hours are daily from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Because the Jail's visiting hours and roster of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change without notice, you should always call the Jail before visiting. Visiting Procedures

Visits with inmates are 15 minutes. Although an inmate may receive two visits per day, the second visit is not guaranteed. During each permitted visit, an inmate may have one (1) adult visitor and one (1) minor. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Although attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit at any time for as long as they like, they are encouraged to come before or after general visiting hours because the video conferencing equipment being used is very limited.

Visitors' Restrictions

Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Jail. A person who has been in custody at the Jail within the last six months cannot visit an inmate at the Jail.

Arrestees' Telephone Access

During booking, an arrestee may be allowed to make two-three (2-3) free telephone calls. Once booked, an arrestee/inmate may make unlimited collect telephone calls during program hours.
