You may visit an inmate at the Torrance Police Department Jail, one of
the largest jails in Los Angeles County, Monday through Sunday from 7:00
p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Torrance Police Department Jail, ("the Jail"),
is operated by the City of Torrance, the fourth largest municipality in
the County of Los Angeles. Once they begin serving their sentences, participants
in the Pay to Stay Program at the Torrance Police Department Jail may
have an unlimited number of visitors Monday through Sunday from 5:00 p.m.
to 7:00 p.m.
Because the Torrance Police Department Jail's visiting hours and roster
of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change
without notice, you should always call the Jail before visiting. You can
reach an officer at the Torrance Police Department Jail at any time by
calling 310-618-5631. Attorneys, clergymen and bail bondsmen may visit
at any time for as long as they like.
Inmates are allowed to have one 15 minute visit per day. If the Jail is
not busy, officers may extend the time allowed for visits to 30 minutes.
Only two (2) persons may visit an inmate at one time. Children may visit
inmates. All minors must be accompanied by an adult. A minor will be counted
as a visitor.
Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Torrance
Police Department Jail. Officers at the Jail may deny visitation rights
to anyone for any number of reasons. Persons on probation and/or parole
are not allowed to visit the Torrance Police Department Jail unless they
are visiting an inmate who is an immediate family member.
Telephone Access & Mail
