Deportable Alien

A deportable alien is an individual who is not a citizen or national of the U.S. who is in the U.S., but because of their immigration status or something they have done, the person is eligible for deportation (being removed from the country). An alien can become a deportable alien for a variety of reasons, including: failing to follow immigration laws, committing a crime, using fraudulent immigration documents, lying during immigration interviews, entering or remaining in the U.S. illegally or posing a security risk.
