Located in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, the Malibu/Lost
Hills Sheriff Station Jail ("Jail") temporarily houses male
and female arrestees and inmate trustees for the following cities and
areas: Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, West Lake Village,
Chatsworth, Lake Manor, Malibu Lake, Topanga and West Hills. The Malibu/Lost
Hills Sheriff Station Jail is operated by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's
You may visit an arrestee/inmate at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station
Jail who has not been sentenced, Monday through Sunday from 10:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. You may visit inmate trustees who are also known as worker
trustees on Saturday, Sunday and on holidays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station Jail's visiting hours and roster
of inmates who are eligible for visits vary and are subject to change
without notice. Thus, you should always call the Jail before visiting.

Attorneys, bail bondsmen and members of the clergy may visit at any time
for as long as they like.
Visiting procedures for arrestees and inmate trustees vary. Presentenced
inmates at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station Jail are allowed one
30-minute visit per day. The Jail permits presentence inmates to receive
up to two (2) visitors during a visitation period. Trustee inmates may
receive up to three (3) visitors during a visitation period. Although
children may visit inmates at the Jail, like adults, they are counted
as visitors unless they are small enough to sit on a lap. Trustee inmates
are allowed one two (2) hour visitation-period per weekend which can be
split into two separate visitations—one hour on Saturday and one
hour on Sunday.
Only visitors with a valid ID will be allowed to visit inmates at the Malibu/Lost
Hills Sheriff Station Jail. Acceptable forms of ID include:
- California Identification Card
- Driver's License (any state)
- U.S. Military Identification
- Mexican Consulate Card
- Permanent Resident Card
- Valid School Identification Card or Birth Certificate (if visitor is a minor).
Officers at the Jail may deny visitation rights to anyone for any number
of reasons. Persons on probation may be allowed to visit while those on
parole may not. For more information regarding this matter, would be visitors

Telephone Access & Mail
During booking, the person being held in the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff
Station Jail, ("the arrestee"), may make an unlimited number
of telephone calls within a one hour period. Arrestees/Inmates may not
receive calls or phoned-in messages. Upon request, inmates are allowed
to make free local calls. Collect calls are also permitted upon requests.
Pre-sentenced inmates will be housed at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff Station
Jail for no more than 48 hours, excluding holidays and weekends. Thus,
you should avoid sending mail to a pre-sentenced inmate at the Malibu/Lost
