Fundamental Right

Fundamental rights are rights that originate and are guaranteed in the federal constitution. Fundamental rights are a significant aspect of liberty, which when limited by the government is rigorously tested by the courts to determine if the government's actions are justified. According to the United States Supreme Court, Fundamental Rights include: voting, interstate travel and various aspects of privacy such as marriage and contraception. Fundamental Rights are also termed Fundamental Interests.
