Faretta Rights

In Faretta v. California, the Supreme Court, per Justice Potter Stewart, held that a defendant has a constitutional right to waive his right to the assistance of counsel and to represent himself at trial (pro per or pro se) so long as it is done voluntarily and knowingly.
