Child Pornography
Child pornography refers to materials such as photographs, film, video, computer-generated images or pictures depicting actual or simulated sexual conduct involving children under the age of 18.
Examples of sexual conduct include:
- Sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex or between humans and animals
- Oral copulation
- Penetration of the vagina or rectum by any object in a lewd or lascivious manner
- Masturbation
- Sadomasochistic abuse for the purpose of sexual stimulation of the viewer
- Exhibition of the genitals or the pubic or rectal area for the purpose of sexual stimulation of the viewer
- Excretory functions performed in a lewd or lascivious manner
In California, possession of child pornography can be charged as a misdemeanor or a felony and can result in life long sex offender registration.
