Blanket Search Warrant

A blanket search warrant is a search warrant issued by a judge that allows the police to search and/or seize everything found in multiple places without specifying the objective of the search/seizure. Because of their broadness, blanket search warrants violate the Fourth Amendment of the United States Constitution. See also, Search Warrant, Fourth Amendment.
