BAC

This is an abbreviation for Blood Alcohol Content. Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) is the level of alcohol in the bloodstream of a person arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol (DUI/DWI). It is used in court as evidence of DUI. The most common method of determining BAC is through a breath test (Breathalyzer), although blood and urine testing is also done. In the state of California, if a driver’s Blood Alcohol Content is found to be 0.08% or more, the breath test results can establish a presumption of drunk driving.
