Aggravated Assault

An Aggravated Assault can be charged when the defendant attempts or threatens to cause serious bodily harm to a person or does cause serious bodily harm; assaults someone with a deadly weapon or assaults someone during the commission of another crime. For example, if Frank tells a bank teller he's going to kill her during a bank robbery, he can be charged with Aggravated Assault.
