Alleged

An alleged act or action is what has been asserted as the truth in a criminal trial, although it has not been proven. For example, in a murder trial, the Defendant is an “alleged murderer,” the crime is an “alleged murder.” Once a defendant is convicted he becomes a murderer who committed murder.
